The transfer paper didn’t work, so I had to go back over the tracing paper with colored pencil and burnish it down on the canvas. That worked and I’ll have progress as I start to add paint. Still haven’t started on Ponyboy Stollas. I’m not planning a pen and ink version for Stollas, but it might be smarter in the long run.
Why am I submitting paintings for the show instead of just submitting the pen and ink art or digital prints? La Luz rules for the show are for 12×12 pieces and canvas paintings are easier to submit because there’s no glass frames. I happen to have two 12×12 canvases waiting for art. La Luz also does not allow digital art submissions.
