Happy Halloween!

New Stickers, now available at New Profanity on Melrose

Wow, that came out much more washed out than I thought.

Happy Halloween! Not to be a spoil sport, but I’m having a sedate Halloween weekend of watching scary movies and putting things back together.

SMUT 4 didn’t get the crowd we were expecting, but definitely better than May right after DomCon this year. I debuted the new stickers you see above and they were well received. A load of them is going into New Profanity on Melrose. They’ll go up on Etsy in January 2017.

I’ll be at Threshold’s Bizarre Bazaar on November 5th with the new stickers, prints, cards and original artwork. Copies of Rick Castro’s 13 Years of Bondage will also be available. Check out the event details at http://www.threshold.org/bizarre-bazarre

After much prodding by friends, I finally have a Deviant Art profile at http://jayfetishartist.deviantart.com. To be honest, it feels kinda clunky compared to Instagram, where I find a lot of great artists and galleries.  I’m taking it slow and feeling my way around.

My plans for November and December are pretty vague, but there’s a lot of catching up to do. DomCon New Orleans is coming on November 17th. I can’t be there, but I support the event. We also have a big client we’re getting ready for at Black and Blue Media.

On the list of things to do is episode 2 of 4 Minutes of Fetish. Maybe Sunday I’ll be able to sit down and get more work done there.

One final word about SMUT. This year has not been kind for the event. I like the event, and love the idea behind it. HP Loveshaft and the Pangaea group came out to perform and support the event this month. I think that was a huge help, but the event took a lot out of Miss Allison. So after the smoke cleared, I asked her if she wants to do a SMUT 5. She said yes, but there’s a lot she needs to do before all systems are go. So here’s my plan.

Instead of trying to work a flyer design out in advance. I’m going to take what I have and work up a flyer template we can just drop a few names into. Once I get the green light, we’ll print up flyers at least a month in advance we can put out to street teams, artists and performers. Hopefully, we can get some galleries on board to help spread the word too. Ideally, I’d like to see where we have the artists show at SMUT 5, then have curated pieces show at a gallery for the rest of the month. This way, the larger, more expensive pieces get even more exposure and a greater chance of selling.
