So you can begin to see why it was such a delay this weekend. I was working over this piece, along with several others. I could make some progress on each, but nothing broke through to finish.
The Femdom art piece up above was just going to be the Domme and her sub, but it needed something more. Saturday I came up with the idea of adding in the scene in front, and I’m going to draw in two suspensions on each side of the throne. I got some good feedback at the munch on Tuesdsay. I didn’t intend to draw Tammy on the right, but it just headed in that direction.
I had a good time at the Sherman Oaks Munch, but I need to rethink what I bring. From now on, I think it’s just the small portfolio and some sketches. It was so packed on the patio, they had to bring out chairs from inside, something the manager quickly stopped. November has been fairly mild this year, even for the valley. So many of us lingered until eleven o’clock.
I’m doing my first full gay fetish art piece in a while. This is a mockup of what I have in mind. It’s a merger of three pieces started at the Tom of Finland drawing workshop. The styles are a little different, so I’m going to have to finish the piece on the left, scan it in as a reference, then keep working the piece until the line quality and shading match up. I’m going for a rubber look in the boots, pants and gas mask. The end piece is going to be digital and in color, 11×14 when finished. The mask will be colored in red, something I’d like to see in the fetish stores.
By the way, I’m planning to be at the Tom of Finland drawing workshop in December. I highly recommend it to fetish artists in the Los Angeles area. Women artists are welcome. Come for the drawing, stay for a tour.
