I’m still thinking of how I can work more into this piece. I started with one of those brush pens that have become more popular lately. Not great for the effect I wanted, but it’s coming in handy for other things.
Saturday, I made a trip down to Sanctuary LAX for Miss Cassie’s Rope Munch. There were more people than I expected and it was a great crowd.
Before practicing, everyone got to introduce themselves, and it’s amazing how like the kinky AOL crowd of the late 90’s, so many people began with their Fetlife screen names.
And it came upon me to introduce myself, and I felt it necessary to confess one of the real reasons I was there. I’m a complete novice when it comes to rope bondage.
Truth be told, while kinky, I’m used to being tied up, not tying others up. I’ve got a lot of “hey, you’re the bondage guy, you should know how to tie this” jokes in the past, and as a subbie, I really don’t know.
This was a really interesting bondage rig. I always assumed there was a stick or something the rope wrapped around in the mouth. It’s actually a doubled part of the rope. It’s interesting how the rope going over the head looks like a Mohawk, and I tried to picture some way of extending it with liberty spikes or something.
So this was an eye opener for me. I got to try some knots, get tied up a bit, and meet some really great people. Orpheus was there, and was a big supporter of the class. I’m definitely making it down to the next class.
