Rick Castro fundraiser at Tom’s Garage Feb 27th.

Valentine’s day morning, as I was getting ready for the opening reception for the Sweetheart’s Dance, we got a phone call from Rick Castro, owner of the Antebellum fetish art gallery.

He was attacked while waiting for a subway in Hollywood, and while defending himself took a fall on his bad leg. It was the first time Antebellum has had an opening reception without Rick.

He’s had difficulty standing on his right leg, and only today has he been able to make it to the gallery. This impacts not only the ability to run the gallery, but his photography business which is what keeps the doors opening and a roof over his head.

This Saturday, February 27th, the Tom of Finland Foundation will have a fundraiser for Rick Castro as part of their Tom’s Garage event at the Faultline bar.

It’s going to be a little tricky for me, because Mistress Cyan’s Indulgence is the same night over at Sanctuary LAX. I’m seriously planning to do both events.

If you can make it to Tom’s Garage this Saturday, great. If not, and you’d still like to help. Contact Rick at antebellum@earthlink.net

Art Show at Kinkfest in Portland

Art used with permission by Hooligan Lili. Many kind thanks. Click the image to go to Kinkfest.org

While the mainstream this weekend is drooling over The Dirty Show in Detroit, kinky artists are gearing up for other stuff. Sunday is Sweetheart’s Dance at Antebellum (scroll to the next post for a sneak preview). April 16th is SMUT 3 at Sanctuary LAX. In March is a little something special in Portland called Kinkfest.

Kinkfest is simply a gathering of kinky leatherfolk getting together to play hard, party hard, learn some new stuff, and buy kinky stuff. A fellow artistic perve on Fetlife named Hooligan Lili has upped the game with a BDSM art show of local artists.

Another sample from Hooligan Lili. She has a gallery at Hooliganlili.com, or you can check out her Fetlife profile at HooliganLili

I’ve seen Lili’s work over at Fetlife and dig it, she’s also got an online catalog at http://hooliganlili.com/special-editions-nsfw. Check it out if you’d like a sneak peek as to what’s in store at Kinkfest, and if you can’t make it to Kinkfest, why not make Lili an offer on one of her pieces displayed online?

Kinkfest is March 25-27th at the Portland Expo Center. Check it out. Go to www.kinkfest.org for more details.

The poster is also available. A larger photocopy was made and finished with red in, gel pen and white acrylic. Contact Antebellum for purchase info.

I’m in a smegload of headache pain right now and about to head to bed. All systems are go for Antebellum’s Sweetheart’s Dance group art show on February 14th.

For details and samples of the other artists, go to https://www.facebook.com/events/1692352544387765

Here’s what’s going to the show. Contact my friend and mentor Rick Castro at antebellum@earthlink.net for purchase info.

Leathermen bondage gay erotica

This piece of leathermen bondage art is finally completed. I finished it off with gel pen and red ink.

There are two paddle prints going to Antebellum this year. You don’t have to use a copy of LA X Press when finishing your paddle, but it helps set the mood.

Leathermen Fetish Sex

This one is called Pucker Up, and I’m very proud how it turned out. The blacks are done in a reduction of Speedball superblack ink, creating a high gloss effect.
