Happy Halloween! I didn’t just whip this up for the Tom of Finland Art Festival, I whipped it up at the Tom of Finland Art Festival. The sketch started on Thursday, but I didn’t have inks complete until Saturday. So on Sunday, I had cards freshly made for the show. It was a hit, and I’ll have it up as a special bonus for the men in bondage card series on Etsy.
The paddle project is starting to get out of control. Three printed paddles were ready to go by Sunday. None sold, but Instigator Magazine got the special print with the tribal tattoo. The wood had a flaw that really stood out through the print, so I added the tattoo by hand. It really made the piece stand out. Rick Castro of Antebellum also laid claim to a second paddle for his gallery. That will be available at the Goths in the Sunlight group art show on October 17th.
That leaves one printed paddle left. I’ll have that at SMUT on October 16th, and if it’s not taken by then, I’ll have it and others at Bizarre Bazaar on November 1st
Along with the guy in red ropes, I’ll also have 50 shades woman, and Eat My Valentine.
That leaves 3 blank paddles ready for art, plus 4 more birch paddles that need to be sanded and prepped for art. At least two of those will be for original art only.
More to come. I have to head out to the driving gig.
