I’m going to be missing this stuff this weekend, but wanted to share what’s going on.
Saturday night, Hyaena Gallery presents the opening of Trash! by Creep. Hyaena specializes in lowbrow, dark, and alternative art, usually throwing light on work even Juxtapoz would fear to cover. Creep’s work definitely crosses into fetish and pinup territory. I dig quite a few of his pieces and love his acrylic work. The opening is 8pm-Midnight, and Creep’s work will be on display until Dec 31st (can you imagine the New Year’s Eve party these folks throw?). Then on Sunday is the Tom of Finland Drawing Workshop. This male nude figure drawing workshop has come in very handy for my work and I highly recommend the workshop to erotic artists. This month’s models are Derek Parker and Phil. Every erotic artist in Los Angeles should visit the foundation house at least once in their lifetime. Ask for a tour. The place is fantastic.
