Obviously, I didn’t get a piece completed by Sunday 🙂
Thanksgiving night was one of the best Thanksgivings at the night gig. It went easy, I got home before Midnight and slept in on Friday. I spent half of Friday working on the Venus in Furs review, and half of it working on Throne Fun. I was still working on Throne Fun when Sherry’s mom came over. Since I work on Thanksgiving, we do our celebration on Saturday. I forgot she’d also be staying over until Sunday afternoon.
I can’t work on Throne Fun, or other pieces while she’s here. So I’ve got this old 11×14 sketch pad I’ve been thinking about, and I start working on some larger size drawings while she’s here. The great thing about a sketch is you can start on certain areas, while self-censoring on other areas until the coast is clear. In this case, I started working on the sci-fi hovercycle, then, with my sketchpad facing away from Sherry’s mom, began filling in the rest as we watched television. I also worked on a SFW motorcycle drawing that will eventually appear on my wordpress blog.
Color work on Throne Fun is taking much longer than anticipated. So here’s what I’ll do. I’ll share two sneak peeks before next Monday. I’m really happy with how it’s developing, so it feels good to share the progress.
