I just could not resist. The past two weeks have been so fucking nuts I seriously contemplated walking off the night gig. As a matter of fact, I’m working tonight.
Thanksgiving day has been a rare moment to catch part of my breath. Most of my artistic time has been taking up working on Throne Fun. It’s inked in and there is a lot of color work to be done. I spent about an hour and a half on it today. I’ve wanted to do a Thanksgiving day fetish cartoon based on “Freedom From Want” the iconic Thanksgiving Day painting by Norman Rockwell. Problem was my idea was way too detailed for all the chaos that’s been coming in lately.
Then, as I was finishing up some things, I had flash of inspiration for the piece above. It’s kooky, but I’m loving it and want to take it further. It also was a great way for me to try some Photoshop shortcuts that helped save some time. I have no idea how you get latex on a turkey, but that’s the great thing about cartoons!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Throne Fun may not be finished by Sunday. If not, I’ll have a smaller piece completed. Before then, I have great news. The copy of Venus In Furs, translated and illustrated by Sardax came in! I’ve read it and will post a review by Sunday.
