The evil clown prince of Hollywood BDSM, Sir Nik is a friend of mine, a friendship forged long ago at his internet radio show on KSEX Radio. I’d heard about the station on occasion, and began listening while at AVN. One of my first appearances was to bring over a gift called Bondage Kitties from the now defunct WB Toys.
Nik is a fantastic host, both on and off the air, and I found myself a few times over in Gower Gulch singing Karaoke with Nik, Orpehus, Indigo and friends after the show.
Sir Nik put a lot of effort into helping out at Passive Arts over by LAX, and he put together club nights where he and his friends could perform onstage without worrying much about Hollywood club issues and obscenity problems.
Still enjoying the success of Carnavale De Sade, I began to whip up a poster for his new endeavor, Theatre De Cris, or theater of screams. Nik put together an hour of on stage bondage and sadomasochistic skits and performances featuring himself and friends. Away from the typical spank and flog act of Hollywood clubs, these stage acts featured special effects, fantasy, drama, and comedy. Nik was not afraid to play the fool for laughs and the entertainment of his friends and peers.
Unfortunately, things at Passive Arts were becoming a little stale. Nik pulled all the stops and invited all his friends for Theatre De Cris. It worked great as a one night performance. However, kink in LA is as sprawled as the city itself, and gathering perverted masses together for monthly (or was it weekly) performances became a little tired. I don’t think there was a third night. Which pissed me off because I was whipping up one hell of a poster. What you’re seeing is only half of what I created. The header was going to be all black with silver psychedelic letters saying “One Hell of a Night!”
Sir Nik has officially retired, but on occasion he’ll come out for events like Orpheus’ Club Hentai, and once again, it becomes one hell of a night.
