I’m having an identity crisis, and it’s not what you think. Ok, maybe you’re having some of the same issues I’m having, but that makes us both pretty twisted 😉

Transgenderism has come a long, long way, and the semantics have evolved greatly since then too. We’ve gone way past “drag queen” and “cross-dressing” of pre-60’s identity. There’s transgender, male-to-female transgender (and vice versa), which has degraded to the slang “tranny,” “trans,” or “t-girl.” Which being gender-bent, I’m fine with, but others find offensive. There’s also “shemale,” which I really dig, and I know one transgender Dominatrix who is proud of the title, but a majority of vanilla transgenders hate. This is mostly because the word shemale get used the most in porn.
In BDSM, I’m not aware of too much offense in the above words, unless used in a derogative way, but we can also add in words like “sissy,” which take on different notions used mostly by heterosexuals engaging in fantasy.

The Asians have taken things even further. There’s “ladyboys,” which I enjoy. The word is so much more effeminate and classy sounding than “shemale.” I could easily have shaved off my teenage mustache and felt comfortable in that role in the early 90’s once away from Livermore and better adjusted to my sexual identity. The Japanese have also had “newhalf” and half-clubs exist in Japan where men (and no doubt a few women) look for the companionship of cross-dressing men and transgenders.

Now the Japanese have injected their own word, “futa,” slang for “Futanari.” There’s even a goddamn Wikipedia page for the subject. I love it! However, we’ve completely blown past any identity in the semantic.
Coming full circle (or around the world if you’d prefer), I’d love to call Tranny Bondage Valentine, “Futa Bondage Valentine.” Would anyone aside from some horny hentai fans get it?
Seriously, instead of someone looking for a Valentine for their Mistress, sissy lover, or t-girl fan, most Americans probably think would think futa is a car from Hundai. Personally, I’d love to see a Ford Futa. The car would have very nice curves, a big set of airbags, and great highbeams, but only come with a stick shift.
