Nicole Powers is not just a friend of mine, she was the one chosen to take my place when I left AVN. I have a great amount of respect for her. So, when she said she wanted a piece of my art for a music CD she’s putting together for an event, of course I said yes.
In the request, she asked for something kind of butch. Gotta admit, butch is a little relevant to me. Are we talking crew cut? Are we talking Leatherwoman? Are we talking big, small, short, or tall?
Thankfully, I’ve got a few pieces that may fit the bill, including this one. This is one of the few color pieces I’ve done. Most of my work has been in black and white, because in the past, it’s easy to photocopy and publish, or use for flash art.
While proud of this piece and the nuclear themed pride bike (notice the cooling tower style heads and the radioactive symbols), it’s a touchy drawing. I created this piece while dating someone up north. It didn’t work out, and I’ll leave it at that for all parties concerned.
The original was donated to an auction for Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a worthy cause. Who knows. This piece may still have a life of it’s own far down the road.
