It’s the End of the World as We Know it, and I’d Rather Spend it at Domcon

True confessions time. I personally don’t buy into the conspiracy theorists and doomsday prophesies. That phase of my life came and went in the early 90’s, where I made an ass out of myself multiple times, kind of how I made an ass out of myself as a Christian fundamentalist in my teens, during the 80’s.

However, we’ve been getting survivalist vibes from a variety of sources, including the night gig, where I was put through an emergency preparedness class in co-operation with FEMA about a year ago. Sherry and I have been getting chatter to get ready for something big regarding the government shutdown and a possible government debt default. I’m telling myself, we need to do these things anyway, but it’s essentially been jarring and stressful to keep this emergency preparation mentality while trying to do things like work multiple jobs, help friends, and of course write this damned blog. Especially, as with most conspiracy chatter, nothing ever happens. Which brings me to my point.

If it was going to be the end of the world, I’d rather start the end at Domcon Atlanta this weekend, where I could throw away all my cares, and what’s left of my cash with my kinky friends. Seriously, why not. Julie Simone, Mistress Gemini, and Jean Bardot are going to be there, along with the legendary Mistress Mir, educator Princess Kali, Mistress Ella Strictland, and way, way too many Dommes to list here (I mean seriously, it was hard work figuring out who to mention in the press release without stepping on toes).

The impression I got off Mistress Cyan is this is more of a casual lifestyle convention, as opposed to a rock out in latex and leather, dress to impress fetish gala. Even better if everything is coming to an end. It’s time to relax, worship some feet, get your ass spanked, and more. Who needs a federal government to have a good time anyway? Check out www.DomconAtlanta.com for details.
