Fetish Art: Here’s to Erica

So, it’s around 1994. I’ve been exhibiting at a sex convention in Silicon Valley, Not Necessarily the Sex Expo or something like that. I took a break to look around, and I’m looking over a table of bondage equipment and sex toys from Castlebar. The Domme behind the table says “Hi Jay!” in a sassy voice. I do a double take, I know her, but can’t place it. She repeats herself with an even more jockular tone, trying to keep from laughing her ass off.

Turns out I knew here through another friend of mine. Neither knew we were kinky. Erica had started working at Castlebar to make ends met, which is how quite a few kinky folks become Dommes on the pro side.

Erica, from the Dominatrix Calendar series

We hit it off really well, and had some great time together. However, it was a chaotic time in both of our lives. I was having quite a few adventures, and apparently, so was Erica. She married another friend of mine, moved away and lived happily ever after.

Obviously I have a big soft spot in my heart for her. Will Flog for Food was done as a joke, but with a serious tip of the hat to those in the business and a reminder that “hey, not every Dominatrix you meet lives in a mansion with a hundred willing slaves at her beck and call.”

The other fetish art piece, from the Dominatrix Calendar series, was created in her honor. The piece incorporates her flowing blond hair, mirror shade glasses, and big smile that warms and shakes the heart.
